Not much to report today, DEP meeting is tomorrow, perhaps I'll have something to share. I'll be spending the rest of my evening typing up power of attorney and advanced directives for H and I both. Bleh...better to have them done rather than leave our parents or each other to make those tough decisions. It's a good idea for everyone to get them done. Do you have them?

10 weeks
Well today marks 10 weeks until H's official ship date. I realize that he may ship sooner than that, but until the new contract is done I'll go with it. We have 10 weekends left to spend together, which makes me a little sad. We have so much to do that I am realizing it isn't all going to get done. That's ok, I have amazing friends and family that I know will be there to help me out. I'm just going to spend time with him and have fun, making every day worth while.
So that is all I have today!

Give me a project...
Many of you who know me well know that the more I have going on, the happier I am. Yes I am one of those people who love to have an over-flowing plate.
I already have several things I'm going to devote time to while H is gone at boot camp. Like catching up scrapbooks, doing some things for H that I can't talk about yet, because he reads this, and of course writing him everyday (more than once I imagine).
For some 8-9 weeks may seem that it isn't a big deal, well for me and for us it is a big deal. We are both very much attached to each other and love spending A LOT of time together and well H is my best friend. So I'm looking for something to do that challenges me in some way, so give me some ideas and of course I'll post about it here!
Can't wait to read the ideas!

Welcome to 2011
I told myself I would post every day in 2011 because this is going to be a major year. However I'm sick and refuse to take "daytime" medicine so I've been on "nighttime" medicine for a few days now, which has led to a few moments of WTH so far. I'll keep this short so I don't have to edit later...forgive me for the randomness...
Being sick has probably jolted my ability to realize that it is 2011, but ya it's here and so much is about to happen. I'll be back in school in a few weeks, as of Monday H will start the process of getting his transcripts reviewed, a new contract written up and get his name on the list to leave early. Leaving early, huh...he only has like 70-something days till his actual ship date to begin with *grabs phone to check* it's 72 days....whoa...*sigh* we can do this.
We headed up to OK for Christmas and took the K9 kids with us, they met another canine family member and well, it was interesting. Needless to say I think that they will be more than ready for the 16 hr drive to our new home by the time May rolls around. I think I'll be so excited to be close to H that I won't be worried about much.
We have started selling our furniture and I've been pretty good about going through closets and deciding what we need to keep, store, or get rid of. I've already started the list of what to get when I get to IL...love my lists!
I knew this would be random as I can't focus on a single thing for long, so I'll sign off for my January 1, 2011 post..
May your year be full of happiness, forgiveness, health and wealth!

14 December 2010
time is not my friend lately...
I really tried to make a point to write something everyday, however everyday turns into the next day before I even realize it. I've been up working till nearly 2am every night for who knows how long. H has to ask me if I'm coming to bed. Then we sleep in till nearly noon...I am not complaining I love that he is home, however I'm beginning to stress out about money for the next few months.
I am working on retiring several pieces of my jewelry collection and adding new ones and more tees for the spring. This means getting accurate inventory counts and updating the website, which on some days has been just a nightmare. No one ever said this would be easy, so many factors can cause me to become unhappy, feeling unproductive and most of them are out of my control, websites down, vendors having things on back order, it goes on and on. Owning my own business has been amazing though. Once we get through Christmas I'll feel a little better. So far so good, and only 12, 11 days left, no I don't really know what day it is...
I'm pretty sure it's the 14th which *gulp* means H has now just 3 more months before he leaves. Which brings me to clarify why I tell people he leaves on my birthday. He leaves, like on the plane leaves 3/15, he has to stay in a hotel the night prior, being the 14th, yes I will see him on the 15th, but I'll be all alone the night of my birthday, not something I've ever had to do before...*sigh* I can do this, I hope to have several pillow pets and Hello Kitty plushes to curl up next to...wow 3 months...better start some lists!

where shoes belong and seeing kitty
H-"Roxy, tell momma that shoes don't go in the kitchen"
*Roxy takes my side and we both ignore H and forget all about what he said"
G-*walks into dark kitchen later* "oh geeze I thought I stepped on an animal"
H-"well that is why shoes don't go in the kitchen"
G-"ya know, don't be surprised if I start storing shoes in the oven again after you are gone"
H-"I'll be gone you can store whatever you want in there"
(flipping through a pottery barn kids catalog)
G-"hey look what kind of luggage they have now"
H-"hmm"
H-"wait that looks like Navy camo"
G-"yes that is what I was trying to show you"
H-"oh I thought you were showing me the Hello Kitty, oh that's not Hello Kitty"
(I start playing a game on my phone)
H-*shakes head*
G-"what?"
H-"at first I thought that was Hello Kitty, you have so much Hello Kitty in here I'm seeing things"
G-"well, I hadn't really intennnnnnded on so much coming in here before you left, maybe after you left, but it happens..."
I adore H, I'm worried who I will have these lovely conversations with when he is not around, guess I'll talk to the dogs more, ha ha. On a heartfelt serious note, I recieved Hello Kitty rhinestone earbuds today in the mail, a total surprise, it wasn't a Christmas gift, it was a "just because" gift sprinkled with love and support for my soon-to-be life. I feel so much love and support from military wives and friends around me that I'm not half as worried as I had been about getting through 9 weeks without H. I also participated in a military nesties gift exchange, my secret santa was awesome, I got Starbucks goodies and Hello Kitty goodies. So fun to have ladies like this that I don't even know to go to and do fun little things like this with. I'm such a goober when it comes to little surprises in the mail, am I the only one?
On a health note, October and November has nearly killed me, down 56lbs and up 18? Oh I hate the holidays and their evil foods...ok October was doused in sugar from fairs, homecoming, amusement park and just bad traveling lol...then it just continued...oh I suppose I better get to the pool or to the gym before I have no jeans that fit me...what a downer! I can do this though I just have to get my head back on right and get rid of the soda in our home...water, water, water.
School starts soon and I'm already getting emails from professors, yay! (yes I am a nerd, geek, dork...whatever) I'm looking forward to having class 2 days a week to get me out of the house and in the meantime I can still work and get caught up on scrapbooks.
Brrrrr winter is almost here, think it's a good time to cuddle up to H and go to sleep.
